Sanna Salanterä is professor of Clinical Nursing Science, and PhD. She has a background of registered nurse and public health nurse. Her research interests are nurses and patients decision-making, pain care and health education with the support of smart technology. She also studies managerial decision-making and health services in general. She has wide experience in PhD-education with about 20 supervised PhD’s, over 200 scientific articles and around 180 supervised master’s thesis. Her current research projects are funded by the Academy of Finland, TEKES, Special state Funding and Juho Vainion säätiö. She leads a research programme called Digital Nursing Turku and belong to IKITIK research consortium.
